For each client we create a program tailored to their specific situation. For some, smoking is simply a habit that can be treated directly. For others smoking may be a “symptom” of something else.
During your specialized program you will feel what it is like to be a non-smoker, experience the health benefits, and feel the emotional triumph from succeeding. You will taper off your habit until your ‘quitting date’ – when you will leave the habit behind you and begin living smoke-free!
At the clinic we use various techniques to ensure that you do not use food (or other vices) to replace your smoking habit.

Weight loss through hypnotherapy is not about diets, counting points, or denying yourself the things you want.

How does hypnosis work for weight loss?
By no means is this program a “one-size fits all” approach to healthy living. We here at New Horizons Hypnosis realize that everybody is different, and in today’s day and age not everyone has a whole lot of free time. However, when we work with you as an individual we work with all aspects of your life which are essential to your success…
– Your attitude about food… Many people use food to gauge their own happiness or well-being on a day to day basis. Hypnosis can help to change your attitudes about food so that you no longer reach for it in times of stress, depression, or emotional insecurity.
– Your ‘triggers’ for eating… Many people find themselves over-eating in times of stress or in response to emotional situations, however hypnosis aids you in dentifying these ‘triggers’, allowing you to stop and make healthier decisions where you may not have before.
– Confidence in yourself… A common technique we use for a variety of issues is the self-visualization method. The ability to imagine yourself at a healthy weight and living a healthy lifestyle is an important factor. Hypnosis works to reinforce these positive images in your mind. We do not recommend or promote any one particular diet or nutritional program. Most clients already know how to eat healthy; you know what the good and bad foods are for you. Our goal is to remove the barriers, or change your core beliefs which have kept you from doing what you know is best.
How many sessions does it take?
Weight loss is probably one of the most complex issues we help people solve. It varies widely by client depending on your current eating habits, level of exercise and desire to change. Generally, three sessions (over a 2-3 week period) gives us a good start. Subsequent sessions are booked on an "as needed" basis.
